In creating business plans, most companies employ a SWOT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) in defining their market position and corporate strategy. While this method can provide useful insights, at SPI we feel that massively disruptive technologies like Seaphantom require something less binary in nature and more affirmative in tone when constructing a strategic vision for the future. For that reason, we have chosen to use SOAR Analytics (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations and Results).
One of the most successful techniques used in face recognition other types of digital recognition systems consists of identifying discontinuities in the target image in a technique known as “edge analysis”. At SPI, we have adopted this technique in creating our own proprietary system for identifying similar niches or gaps in the marketplace, enabling us to quickly detect, identify and respond to such competitive opportunities or advantages.
